Swinging Outside

Elvis Andrus hit consistently in the mid .260s his first two years in the majors.  In the first ten games of the 2010 playoffs, Elvis erupted for a .348 BA hitting .333 in the ALDS and .364 so far in the ALCS.  During the regular season, Andrus found most of his success on the inner half of the plate, in the middle to low end of the strike zone:
